Collection: Wall Scrolls
Japanese wall scrolls are called kakejiku.
Kakejiku tell a story sometimes with words, sometimes with images, or colors, or a combination of all these elements.
Japanese wall scrolls are one of the oldest forms of art in Japanese culture and some of the most satisfying additions to your collection. They can take up to months to complete, but once finished and displayed on a wall, they open a gateway to a different world.
Here at Sakura Art Japan, you will find kakejiku of different sizes and of many classic styles, but also truly unique ones made of recycled kimono fabric.
